Adelaida is a highly qualified psychologist, masseuse and yoga teacher.
Adelaida first trained in psychoanalysis and worked in clinical environments until 2004 (Degree in Psychology 1994, University of Buenos Aires).
During this time, her interest began to focus increasingly on holistic therapies: she completed the Instructor’s course in the Río Abierto System of mind body techniques and vital expressive movement (2001-2004) which also included techniques of corrective and circulatory massage.
From 2003 – 2005 Adelaida studied Esalen technique and Deep Tissue Massage in the Oasis school in Argentina. Since then she has been working, studying, and traveling around the world to further her personal and professional development, complimenting her experience with additional studies and qualifications that include:
Thai massage; studied at the Old Medicine Hospital , with the master Pichest Bonthoumme(2005 Thailand) and further developed in Thailand before returning to Europe where she began giving courses in Thai Massage together with Javier Malfitani.
Tibetan and Ayurvedic massage, Marma Points (energy points), Shiro Dara, Nasya, Kati Basthi ayurvedic and naturopathic therapies and Swami Ramdev pranayam system, all of them learned during an extensive trip around India and Nepal in 2007.
After her first trip to India Ade began practicing Yoga regularly and returned to Bangalore in 2010 to do the Yoga training course at the SVYASA University -Swamy Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana- www.svyasa.org in Bangalore, India. As well an intensive BKS Ygengar style courses at the Himalayan Iyengar School in Goa (2010), currently she is teaching individual and group yoga lessons.
In the previous six years Adelaida has worked as a Massage Therapist in high standing beach clubs, spas and hotels (two seasons in Brazil) and for the last six years in Marbella, Spain; Ocean Club and Mistral Beach (Puerto Banús) and Sonora Beach (Estepona).
Actually she has joined to the staff of Vitania spa (www.vitania-spa.com), , in the Cala de Mijas where she suministrates yoga classes and massages.
Javier began his journey into healing and bodywork with Reiki (Usui) practice, and teaching. Currently, Javier works as a massage therapist and has trained in Zen Shiatsu, Thai yoga Massage, Tibetan and Ayurvedic therapy.
Compelled by the wisdom of the East, Javier followed his heart to Thailand, India and Nepal where he trained extensively in a variety of massage modalities from different traditions. In Thailand (2005) he studied Thai Massage at the Old Medicine Hospital, with the master Pichest Bonthoumme and specialized in Deep Tissue work with Professor Baan Nit. When he returned from the East, he started teaching Thai Massage Courses., in Brazil, Argentina and Spain.
In a long journey around India and Nepal in 2007 he trained in Tibetan and Ayurvedic massage and a number of treatments for restoring health: Marma Points (energy points), Shiro Dara, Nasya, Kati Basthi and naturopathic therapies. He also studied pranayama with Sri Ram Dev, India´s breath guru, and he teaches many people this pranayama system.
Javier returned to India in 2009 to increase his yoga therapy knowledge. He completed the yoga teacher training course at SVYASA University, Swamy Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana, www.svyasa.org in Bangalore. One of the most prestigious institutions in India and renowned globally. Here he met gurus that taught him internal yoga techniques (Pranic Energetic Technique, cyclic meditation). He worked in the field of acupressure learning and incorporating the Su Jok technique (acupressure with seeds) into his experience.
Javier studied a second style from Tibetan massage, Sorig, and completed intensive courses from the BKS Ygengar style at Himalayan Iyengar School in Goa.
He also implement the Sacred Tibetan Singing Bowls into his healing work.
In the last six years Javier has been giving treatments and managing the therapeutic teams of many important beach clubs and spas: two years in Brazil and for the last six years within the Sun Coast (Nikki beach, Bonos´s Beach, Funny Beach, Bora Bora and Sonora Beach).
From June 2010 he joined the team Vitania Spa as therapy manager (www.vitania-spa.com) , in La Cala de Mijas, Málaga, Spain, aimed at the health center through the application of natural therapies.
